Millard's Jesse Rhodes recorded the longest rushing play in 2A - North this season in his game against Emery last week. Rhodes ran for 90 yards on the play and finished with 139 on the day as his team topped the Spartans.
Connor Aste and Jamen Miller provided fans with a highlight when they connected against South Summit. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 93 yards.
Manti's dynamic duo of Aste and Miller proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Aste threw for 236 yards and one touchdown and Miller had 132 yards receiving. T.J. Pogroszewski helped Manti's passing attack out by catching two balls for 46 yards.
Jeremy Aleman was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 182 yards as Millard topped South Summit.
Tyson Labrum made the biggest impact on defense this week as Marshall sheriff's team beat Emery. The senior recorded one fumble.
6-foot-0 quarterback Caden Christenson of Jerry Parker's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 571. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, the Eagles' Rhodes has rushed for 957 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Miller. The Manti star has 11 catches for 300 yards.
Millard's Rhodes needs only 43 yards against American Leadership Academy next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on the Eagles. American Leadership Academy is currently in seventh, while Millard is in first.
Manti extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Wildcats, 21-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for Cole Meacham's team.
