River Ridge is 0-6 against Wiregrass Ranch since September of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Royal Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Bulls at 7:30 p.m. River Ridge's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so Wiregrass Ranch's offense will have their work cut out for them.
River Ridge will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points on October 10th, then bounced right back against Gulf on Friday. The Royal Knights came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 33-20. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 5, 2018, but that streak is no more.

River Ridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonah Clouse, who rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 64 receiving yards. Dareal King did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 88 receiving yards.
River Ridge's defense stepped up as well, laying out Curtis Scriven 3.5 times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jackson Mccaffrey, Dillon Adams, and Tate Finer, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Wiregrass Ranch never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 33-0 victory over Land O' Lakes. Considering the Bulls have won four games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Wiregrass Ranch found their leader in sophomore Donte Parker, who picked up two sacks, made ten total tackles (4.0 for loss), and defended two passes.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Wiregrass Ranch proved: they limited Land O' Lakes to a paltry 1.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Chase Cobb for the heroic effort on defense: he. Wiregrass Ranch's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.9.
Wiregrass Ranch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut DeMontia Hudson. Wiregrass Ranch received some extra help from Hudson, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Wiregrass Ranch's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 5.9 yards per carry in those games compared to only 3.52 in the others. As for River Ridge, their record now sits at 7-2.
Things could have been worse for River Ridge, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-18 loss to Wiregrass Ranch in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Royal Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
