The Greenbrier West Cavaliers lost against the Webster County Highlanders back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Greenbrier West lost to the Highlanders on the road by a decisive 55-37 margin. Greenbrier West has not had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Webster County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Raydan Triplett out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Triplett has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. Logan Leichliter was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals.
Greenbrier West's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Webster County, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
Greenbrier West is on the road again on Monday and plays the Red Devils at 11:00 a.m. on February 5th. Ravenswood will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Webster County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Braxton County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
