It was all tied up at halftime, but Blairsville weren't quite Purchase Line's equal in the second half when they met last Friday. It was close but no cigar for Blairsville as they fell 20-22 to Purchase Line. Blairsville's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Devin Burkhart, who passed for 194 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Marion Center had enough points to win and then some against Northern Cambria, taking their matchup 28-12.
Marion Center's victory lifted them to 2-3 while Blairsville's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. We'll find out if Marion Center can add another positive mark to their record or if Blairsville can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Marion Center's step.
