Alleluia Community waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Evans Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Angels also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.
Alleluia Community never let Evans on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-16.
Madie French paced Alleluia Community's offense, picking up eight kills. French got some help from Reese Janik and her 15 assists. Janik was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
Alleluia Community's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Evans, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alleluia Community will square off against Heritage Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Evans, they will face off against Greenbrier at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
