Basketball Recap: Classical Prep Skates Past Pasco with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Classical Prep). They blew past the Pasco Pirates 68-15 on Tuesday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 43 points or more this season.

Classical Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaelyn Malloy, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. That's the most points Malloy has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Milanes, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Classical Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Classical Prep's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Pasco, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Classical Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-22 victory against Freedom on the 18th. As for Pasco, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-18 loss against Citrus on the 19th.
