Despite the loss, Tradition Prep saw an underclassman step up: Jayden Harris scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aydan Fields, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds.
Somerset Academy - Canyons found their leader in underclassman Victor Diaz, who scored 20 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Diaz has scored at least 25% of Somerset Academy - Canyons' points. Watson Eloi was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Tradition Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Tradition Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sebastian River at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Allowing an average of 55 points per game, Sebastian River has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this matchup. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Katz Yeshiva at 7:00 p.m.
