Sadly, the River Valley Mustangs are still looking for their first win of the season after 14 games. They had to suffer through a rough 82-30 loss at the hands of Michigan Lutheran. River Valley has struggled against Michigan Lutheran recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Michigan Lutheran found their leader in underclassman Connor Olson, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Micah Herbst was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
River Valley's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Michigan Lutheran, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
River Valley's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Countryside Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. As for Michigan Lutheran, they will head out on the road to challenge Covert at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Michigan Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
