Monticello has gone 8-2 against St. Francis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Magic will look to defend their home field against the Saints at 5:00 p.m. Monticello will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Monticello is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Cambridge-Isanti an 18-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Magic in their matchups with the Bluejackets: they've now won nine in a row.

Carter Anderson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Monticello got a massive performance out of Adam Brenny, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Brenny a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dom Marschel, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Monticello always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Francis, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Zimmerman with a sharp 14-1 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Saints have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
St. Francis' win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Monticello, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
