Even though Holy Ground Baptist Academy scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, Lafayette Christian still came out on top. Lafayette Christian snuck past Holy Ground Baptist Academy with a 62-58 victory.
Bruno Tellez was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Joshua Zapata, who scored 14 points.
Praise Academy can finally bid farewell to their 14-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Oakwood Christian by a score of 42-33. The win was just what Praise Academy needed coming off of a 76-50 defeat in their prior matchup.
Lafayette Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Praise Academy, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-13.
