Eatonville took the matchup and then some with a 49-6 victory on Friday over Evergreen.
Eatonville's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 35 points in the first half. Evergreen came up with 6 to make it 35-6 heading into the break. The Eatonville defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match. The win got them back to even at 1-1. The defeat dropped Evergreen's record to 0-2.
Eatonville will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Charles Wright at Eatonville HS at 7:00 PM. Evergreen are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Clover Park at 7:00 PM.
