There's no place like home for Enterprise, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Lumberton Panthers 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted since April 19, 2024.

The result came thanks to Kelly Burgess's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Enterprise's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Haygan Floyd, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Enterprise has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Lumberton, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-1.

Enterprise will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
