The Kermit Yellow Jackets had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dumas on Saturday and snuck past 34-32. The win was just what Kermit needed coming off of a 56-19 loss in their prior contest.
Kermit can attribute much of their success to Ebbin Mallory, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Mallory is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Leylani Quiroz was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 steals.
Kermit now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Dumas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Kermit will be playing at home against Jal at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dumas is on the road again on Thursday and play against Ozona at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Ozona has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
