  Ryker Porter and  Jaxon Drain did some serious damage despite the final result:  Porter  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, while  Drain  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. That  home run marked the first that  Porter  launched this season. Another player making a difference was  Elias Gonzales, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Mounds' offense. They lost  17-0 to Weleetka on Saturday. The  contest marked the first time this year in which the Golden Eagles were not able to get on the board.
 Haskell now  has a losing record of 4-5. As for Mounds, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
 Haskell took their  win against Mounds  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024 by a conclusive  14-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Haskell since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
