Basketball Recap: Knowledge Academies Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Tamia Campbell and Zerahiah Polk

Knowledge Academies was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Dayspring Academy Shires by a score of 41-39. One positive for Knowledge Academies, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Knowledge Academies had strong showings from Zerahiah Polk, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 19 boards, and Tamia Campbell, who posted 16 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cheyenne Farag, who put up eight points.

Knowledge Academies' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Dayspring Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Knowledge Academies won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Valor College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valor College Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Knowledge Academies likes a good challenge. As for Dayspring Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Franklin Classical School at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
