Woodward Academy extended their  winning streak to five games  thanks to a huge performance from  Kayla Whitner. The Woodward Academy War Eagles snuck past the Milton Eagles with  a  65-60 victory on Saturday thanks in part to  Whitner, who  went 7 of 8 from beyond the arc en route to 23  points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. She has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  steals the last four times she's  played.
 Another player making a difference was  Delaney Cooper, who  posted nine points in addition to seven  boards and four  blocks. That's the most  blocks  she has posted since back in November of 2024.
 Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Londyn Walker, who  went 6 for 14  on her way to 19  points and five  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zana Justice, who  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and 15  boards.
Woodward Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Milton, they moved to 13-6 with that  loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
 Woodward Academy and Milton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Woodward Academy (ranked 54th) will meet Shiloh (ranked 224th)  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Woodward Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5  points per game  this season. Similarly,  Milton will  take on  Chattahoochee  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday up  218 places (63 vs. 281).
