HomeSchool Resource Center is hoping to do what Galesburg Christian couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Faith Christian's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Faith Christian blew past Galesburg Christian 74-22. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 30 points or more this season.
Faith Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Schuler, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Sam Drey, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 14 points.
Faith Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Galesburg Christian only posted three assists.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask HomeSchool Resource Center). They claimed a resounding 68-16 victory over South Shore Homeschool Athletics. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
HomeSchool Resource Center's win came from a few key players Faith Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Noel Green, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven assists and six steals. Green is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Deuce Johnson, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 19 points and three steals.
Faith Christian pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Faith Christian has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.1 boards per game. However, it's not like HomeSchool Resource Center struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
