The Washington-Wilkes Tigers lost against the Towns County Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Washington-Wilkes fell 55-47 to Towns County. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Washington-Wilkes in their matchups with Towns County: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Washington-Wilkes had strong showings from Shariq Meadows, who scored 20 points, and Malik Ware, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamari Curry, who scored six points along with two steals.
Washington-Wilkes dropped their record down to 7-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Towns County, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Washington-Wilkes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Towns County also has no future games currently scheduled.
