Berkner barely beat Irving the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams blew past the Tigers 8-1 on Friday. The Rams not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th.

The victory made it two in a row for Berkner and bumps their season record up to 8-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Irving, they dropped their record down to 5-16-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Berkner and Irving could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Rams will square off against Dallas Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (798 vs. 29). Meanwhile, Irving (ranked 885th) will meet MacArthur (ranked 309th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
