Homer has gone a perfect 4-0 against Addison recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Trojans will face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Homer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Homer needed a bit of extra time to put away Napoleon. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pirates 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.
Payten Minix spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brooklen Minix was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Zuck, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Homer kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Addison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-3 to Leslie.
Caylee Campbell made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That run was her first of the season.
Addison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Homer, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Addison's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Homer hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .390. It's a different story for Addison, though, as they've only averaged .211. Will they be able to contain Homer's hitters?
Everything went Homer's way against Addison in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Homer made off with a 16-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
