Heard County is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Northgate is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Heard County Braves will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Northgate Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heard County will be strutting in after a victory while Northgate will be coming in after a loss.
Heard County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 52-25 victory over LaGrange on the road. 52 seems to be a good number for Heard County as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Northgate was the victim of a tough 71-49 loss at the hands of Lamar County on Tuesday.
DeAsia Stinson put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Stinson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Reynolds, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Heard County's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Northgate, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
