The Encina Prep Bulldogs can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 77-47 win over Foresthill. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Encina Prep has posted since December 8, 2023.
Encina Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sergio De La Cruz led the charge by scoring 26 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points De La Cruz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Phillip Worsham, who scored 19 points along with five assists and five steals.
Encina Prep's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Foresthill, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Encina Prep will take on Sacramento Waldorf at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sacramento Waldorf has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Foresthill, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Victory Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
