After a string of three wins, the Licking Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norwood. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Licking in their matchups with Norwood: they've now lost six in a row.
Norwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Drake out in front who scored 20 points along with two steals. Drake hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Gary Williams, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Licking's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Norwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Licking will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Willow Springs at 4:00 p.m. Willow Springs is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Norwood, they will face off against Hartville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hartville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three matchups.
