The Boone Braves waltzed into their game Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They really took it to Windermere for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-19 win at home. Considering Boone has won four matches by more than 21 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Boone had a senior duo take command as Mckenna Murphy scored 20 points along with five assists and four steals and Victoria DelaCruz scored 19 points along with three steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Murphy has scored at least 25% of Boone's points. Danika Ballard was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Boone pushed their record up to 6-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Windermere, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Boone will take on Master's Academy in a holiday battle at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at. As for Windermere, they will head out on the road to face off against South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
