Even though the Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, the Enterprise Wolves still came out on top. Enterprise strolled past Somerset Sky Pointe with points to spare, taking the game 72-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Enterprise.
Enterprise's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Treyson Whitman led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Whitman's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dax Hunt, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emmitt Bell, who scored 19 points. Bell hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cory Gory, who scored 17 points.
Even though they lost, Somerset Sky Pointe were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Enterprise has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Enterprise won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lowry at 11:00 a.m. on December 29, 2023. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Lowry is ranked 43rd in Nevada, while Enterprise is ranked 58th in Utah).
