Providence School is 0-4 against Trinity Christian Academy since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on October 27th. After each having a week off, both teams will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Providence School will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Providence School strolled past Master's Academy with points to spare, taking the game 42-28.
Mason Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 144 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 83 yards and a touchdown. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Providence School's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was John King and his 2.5 sacks.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy got themselves on the board against University Christian on Friday, but University Christian never followed suit. They enjoyed a cozy 14-0 win over the Christians.
Trinity Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Darnell Rogers, who rushed for 165 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Rogers was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Their wins bumped Providence School to 7-1 and Trinity Christian Academy to 5-3.
Providence School was dealt a bruising 55-10 loss at the hands of Trinity Christian Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Providence School, Treyaun Webb (who rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
