Corona del Sol scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Queen Creek, posting a 60-19 win at home. That looming 60-19 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Corona del Sol yet this season.
Even though Desert Ridge has not done well against the Hawks recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Desert Ridge walked away with a 59-48 win over the Hawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Desert Ridge.
Saige Miller continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaycee Steinke, who scored 23 points.
Corona del Sol's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-19. As for Desert Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.
