The Carter Green Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Jefferson County Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses apiece.
Carter pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of South-Doyle.
Meanwhile, Jefferson County lost to the Hurricanes at home by a decisive 57-41 margin on Friday. Jefferson County has not had much luck with the Hurricanes recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Carter has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Jefferson County, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-13.
Carter came up short against the Patriots when the teams last played back in November of 2020, falling 80-75. Can Carter avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
