Northwestern barely beat Barron the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Golden Bears on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Northwestern is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Barron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-7-1.
