The Muskogee Roughers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Ponca City Wildcats at 8:00 p.m.
Muskogee suffered their closest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Thursday. They fell just short of Will Rogers College by a score of 57-54.
Meanwhile, Ponca City scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Western Heights, posting a 76-44 victory on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Ponca City as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Tay Moore was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Elijah Kreisel was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Muskogee has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Ponca City, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Muskogee was able to grind out a solid win over Ponca City in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 71-60. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Moore, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 36 points and 2 assists.
