Saluda was the 50-35 winner over Mid-Carolina when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Saluda Tigers fell just short of the Mid-Carolina Rebels by a score of 46-44 on Tuesday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mid-Carolina's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from BreA Boyd, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 15 points and six steals. Boyd has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Addie Bowers was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Saluda's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1. As for Mid-Carolina, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Newberry the next time they take the court. Mid-Carolina will host Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Saluda will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
