Hacienda recap September 24, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Hacienda this week, Los Altos beat Chino 34-20,. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Conquerors.
Diamond Ranch was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. The Panthers defeated Schurr 28-0 earlier in the week.
Amir Avery was the best wideout in the league this week as Los Altos beat the Cowboys. Avery tallied 2 receptions for 99 yards. Estuardo Marcos helped Los Altos' passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 29 yards.
Marcos was the most successful running back in Hacienda this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 183 yards as Dale Ziola's team topped Chino. Teammate Matthew Hayashi added to the ground attack by rushing for 71 yards.
Tyler Peterson put up the best numbers through the air as Diamond Bar beat Brea Olinda. He finished with 24 completions for 236 yards and 5 touchdowns. Peterson's favorite target this week was Austin Cox, who caught 4 passes for 86 yards.
Tanner Diebold was a passing and rushing force as Bonita bested Claremont. He completed 12 passes for 152 yards and also ran for 157 yards. Diebold's favorite target this week was Thomas Loy, who caught 2 passes for 57 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Cristian Hacegaba of the Conquerors is the league leader in passing yards this season with 679. He has also thrown 5 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cordell Broadus. The Diamond Bar star has 23 catches for 248 yards.
At the moment, the Bearcats are in fourth, while the Brahmas are in third.
Diamond Bar scaled the state rankings by moving to 220 from 251 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Ryan Maine's team climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Wildcats 47-0.
