The Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves are still undefeated this season after their matchup against the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning on Saturday, but the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning came as close as anyone has to beating them. It was close, but Living Word Lutheran ultimately received the gift of a 47-45 victory from a begrudging Timberwolvessquad. For they, this counts as revenge for the 71-57 defeat Lake Country Lutheran walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Living Word Lutheran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Delaney Winkelmann, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Winkelmann also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Balsewicz, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Living Word Lutheran will square off against Kenosha Christian Life at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
