The Hazen Highlanders can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Interlake 57-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Hazen has posted since December 19, 2023.
Dakota Nap was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Garrett, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Interlake lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cammy Roed. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points. Roed continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
The win got Hazen back to even at 9-9. As for Interlake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazen will square off against Lake Washington at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Interlake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lindbergh at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th.
