Westerville North lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Dublin Scioto, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Irish on Friday. Considering the Warriors have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Trent Geiger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Thomas Mercurio, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Westerville North's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Dublin Scioto, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Westerville North will face off against Worthington Kilbourne at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dublin Scioto will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors' match: after the Warriors face off against the Wolves, they'll take on Dublin Scioto again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
