For the second straight game, Grandview will face off against Cherokee Trail. The Wolves will face off against the Cougars at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Grandview is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Grandview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Cherokee Trail get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Ethan Wachsmann's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Grandview is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Lochlan McHale was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavyn Bauer, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Grandview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cherokee Trail only managed one.
Cherokee Trail's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Grandview, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Cherokee Trail's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Grandview has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Cherokee Trail, though, as they've been averaging 10.1 hits. Given Grandview's sizable advantage in that area, the Cougars will need to find a way to close that gap.
