Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Bend Central). They took their match on Saturday with ease, bagging a 75-44 victory over the Thayer Central Titans. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won four contests in a row.

Despite the loss, Thayer Central still got an impressive performance from Sam Souerdyke, who went 11 of 20 en route to 23 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 52.3% of Thayer Central's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Degenhardt, who put up six points and five boards.

North Bend Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Thayer Central, they moved to 5-1 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Bend Central will challenge Milford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Thayer Central, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Republic County at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
