The Southampton Academy Raiders lost against the Lawrence Academy Warriors back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Southampton Academy had to suffer through a rough 40-13 loss at the hands of Lawrence Academy. Southampton Academy has not had much luck with Lawrence Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Trinity Congleton was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Farmer, who scored 8 points along with 8 steals and 4 blocks.
Southampton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lawrence Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Southampton Academy will be home for the holidays to greet TEACH at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lawrence Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Hobgood Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hobgood Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Lawrence Academy is ranked 100th).
