North Middlesex Regional lost to Marlborough when the two teams last met in October of last year, but they didn't allow Marlborough the same satisfaction this time around. The Patriots got past Marlborough with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 20-14. The success made it back-to-back wins for North Middlesex Regional.
The win bumped North Middlesex Regional's record up to 2-6. Marlborough still hasn't won a game and fell to 0-8.
North Middlesex Regional will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 6 p.m. ET in four weeks. The Patriots are the slight favorite, but fans of both teams should be in for an exciting matchup likely to go down to the wire. The Panthers will take on Malden at 7 p.m. ET next week at home. The Panthers will be home again for the second matchup in a row.
