The River Valley Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 68-45 walloping at the hands of Woodcreek. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for River Valley in their matchups with Woodcreek: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gurtaran Sanghu, who scored eight points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Yuvraj Dosanjh, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Aidan Triplet continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Woodcreek, scoring 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Kirby, Jr., who scored ten points.
River Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Woodcreek, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
River Valley will take on Yuba City at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Yuba City is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Woodcreek, they will head out on the road to challenge Roseville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Roseville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
