Softball Recap: Bronson Takes a Loss

Bronson dropped down to 7-8 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 17-0 to the Columbia Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since March 2nd.

As for Columbia, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games.

For Columbia's part, not much got past Kinley King, who gave up just a hit to keep Bronson off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emily Delgado, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlee Hunt, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Coming up, Bronson will be playing in front of their home fans against Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbia, they will head out to challenge Buchholz at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
