Booker T. Washington has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Melrose Golden Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Booker T. Washington came up short against Hillcrest and fell 66-58.
Meanwhile, Melrose was able to grind out a solid win over Middle College on Friday, taking the game 57-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Melrose.
Devin Sanders Jr was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 20 points, 19 rebounds, and 9 blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sadat Muhammad, who scored 12 points.
Booker T. Washington's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Melrose, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Things could have been worse for Booker T. Washington, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 72-56 loss to Melrose in their previous meeting back in January. Can Booker T. Washington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
