Last Tuesday, Georgetown didn't have too much trouble with the Monarchs at home as they won 58-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for Georgetown.
Ty Stanley went supernova for Georgetown, scoring 23 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stanley has scored all season. Kavonte Matthews was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Aynor's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 15th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 68-29 loss at the hands of Waccamaw. Aynor was down 46-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Georgetown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Aynor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.
