The Clymer Central Pirates were the 56-55 winner over the Pine Valley Central Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Clymer Central fell to Pine Valley Central 32-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Clymer Central has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Clymer Central still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Massing, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Massing hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Kaden Beckerink was another key contributor, scoring a point along with eight rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Clymer Central and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Pine Valley Central, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clymer Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ellicottville at 1:30 p.m. on January 15th. Hopefully Ellicottville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Monday. As for Pine Valley Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Panama at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Averaging 63.5 so far this season, Panama's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Pine Valley Central better be ready for a challenge.
