The South Allegheny Gladiators lost to the Quaker Valley Quakers back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. South Allegheny put the hurt on Quaker Valley with a sharp 61-39 victory. Given South Allegheny's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Quaker Valley is ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Quakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dominic Cox-Giles, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Washington, who scored 17 points.

As for Quaker Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montour at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
