There's no place like home for The Williamsville Bullets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Pleasant Plains 55-13 at home. The result was nothing new for Williamsville, who have now won four contests by 29 points or more so far this season.
Braddock Cates continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 144 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also picking up 51 receiving yards. Cates is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Cates, who threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Pleasant Plains' lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Charlie Severino, who picked up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 46 yards and a touchdown on only four passes.
Williamsville's win was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.6 points per game. As for Pleasant Plains, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Williamsville will head out on the road to face off against Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant Plains, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
