Vallivue hasn't had much luck against Bishop Kelly recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Falcons will challenge the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Vallivue had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Nampa on Monday. The Falcons blew past the Bulldogs 13-4. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Eli Daniel and Aaron Rayo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Daniel struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Meanwhile, Rayo tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Daniel has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Daniel scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Rayo scored a run while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Colt Augustus was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Cyganik, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI.
Meanwhile, Bishop Kelly came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 10-2 win.
Like Vallivue, Bishop Kelly also got a great game from a two-way player: Jaxson Brady. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Brady also tossed two walks, which is notable because Bishop Kelly is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 5-6 otherwise. Brady was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Jamison Smith looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucas Blaine, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Reagan Holder also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Bishop Kelly hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matchups.
Bishop Kelly now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Vallivue, their record now sits at 15-1.
Vallivue suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Bishop Kelly in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
