The team also got some help courtesy of Declyn Otte, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Brownell Talbot had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 45-27 victory over Cedar Bluffs last Saturday. The win was just what Brownell Talbot needed coming off of a 48-17 defeat in their prior contest.
Brownell Talbot got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Simon Lim out in front who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. John Schinzel was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Fort Calhoun's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Brownell Talbot, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.
Keep an eye on the arc in Monday's match: Fort Calhoun have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4.8 threes per game. However, it's not like Brownell Talbot struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.2 threes per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
