Baseball Recap: Herriman Has No Trouble Against Farmington

Herriman's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Farmington Phoenix get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The game marked the Mustangs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Not much got past Cache Carter, who gave up just three hits to keep Farmington off the board. That's the fewest hits Carter has allowed since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Kayson Thomas and Carson Jones did most of the damage at the plate: Thomas went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Jones scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That triple was Thomas' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryker Renteria, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Herriman now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Farmington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Herriman will challenge Union at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Farmington, they will face off against Box Elder at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
