Sunnyvale can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Caddo Mills a 7-0 shutout. Landon Marquez de la Plata was a massive factor in the win, as he booted in three goals all by himself.
The win (which was Sunnyvale's third in a row) raised their record to 8-3-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three games. As for Caddo Mills, they dropped their record down to 1-12-1 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunnyvale will play host again and welcome Kaufman, where kickoff is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Sunnyvale has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 20 goals over their last three matchups. As for Caddo Mills, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Community at 7:15 p.m. Community will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Caddo Mills surely won't give up without a fight.
